
Jenny Chávez currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Public Works. With over 20 years of experience in high-profile government and political environments, Jenny Chavez brings a wealth of expertise in city operations, leadership, and a deep commitment to public service. Previously, Jenny served as Senior Vice President of Stakeholder and External Relations for the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board, where she successfully engaged with community organizations, government officials, and nonprofits to promote collaboration and ensure alignment with the City's priorities.
Jenny has spent nearly her entire career in public service, including almost two decades working for various elected officials. She most notably served as Chief of Staff for Council District 15, where she served as top advisor for public policy decisions, legislative actions, outreach and constituent relations. She managed a large team and gained an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of city governance and personnel management.
A proud native Angeleno, Jenny earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law. Fluent in Spanish, she resides in Northeast LA with her family.
