WHAT: All LA Sanitation and Environment (LASAN) S.A.F.E. Centers are currently closed until further notice. Mobile collection events have also been postponed.
Until household hazardous materials can once again be properly disposed of, please continue to store these items safely in your home. Please do not place household hazardous materials in the trash or leave them outside of closed S.A.F.E. centers. Household hazardous waste, including items like cans of paint, chemical cleaners and batteries, can cause fires in landfills or garbage trucks, or leach into groundwater. This is why it is important to never place household hazardous materials in the black or blue bin, but to always dispose of it safely and properly through the S.A.F.E. Center.
E-Waste can be scheduled for curbside collection by contacting the LASAN 24-hour Customer Care Center at 1-800-773-2489 or using the MyLA311 app and selecting "electronic waste."
