SAN PEDRO—Los Angeles Sanitation and Environment’s (LASAN) LA Green Business Program (LAGBP) hosted a mixer for eco-conscious leaders on June 10, 2026, at Port Town Brewing Company. The mixer brought together leaders across Los Angeles’ Council District 15 with interest in growing their business sustainably.

The LAGBP team facilitated the event for eco-conscious leaders to learn more about the program and to take their own steps towards creating acleaner, greener Los Angeles.

The LAGBP intends to engage throughout all of LA’s 15 council districts, getting to know the goals and dynamics of eco-conscious leaders. The LAGBP is sharing options for success and sustainability while helping leaders tap into savings on operating costs and access grant opportunities that help and grow their work for their community.“The Los Angeles Green Business Program provides eco-conscious leaders with access to support and opportunities to grow and green their businesses,” said Sarai Bhaga, Interim Director and General Manager of LASAN. “We’re thrilled to reach more leaders across the city and guide them to sustainable options with this program.”

In 2026, the LAGBP team continues its mission toward helping eco-conscious leaders thrive through waste reduction and energy
efficiency. As recipients join the program, they have access to free consulting, referrals to City rebate programs, networking opportunities, and marketing perks. Many businesses in the LAGBP have led the charge in the green economy across Los Angeles, including in areas burdened by environmental injustice. The Green Business Team is answering Mayor Bass’ Climate Action Plan call to have 1,000 certified Green Businesses by 2028. Nonprofits, businesses, and offices interested in taking advantage of the Los Angeles Green Business Program can learn more on the LASAN website.
