April is National Arab American Heritage Month—a time to recognize the many contributions Arab Americans have made in the United States. The City of Los Angeles has the largest cluster of Arab Americans in the state of California. National Arab American Heritage Month was formally recognized in April 2021 by President Joe Biden.
The Board of Public Works joins the celebration and recognition by honoring employees from each Bureau and Board Office of Arab American heritage. We value the remarkable contributions Arab Americans have made for our department. Visit our Bureau and Board Offices' social media pages to see how Arab American Heritage Month is celebrated.
