Hispanic Heritage Month

In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15), the Los Angeles Board of Public Works is excited to announce five in-person and virtual events during the months of September and October. All Angelenos are invited to join the various activities held in celebration of the history, culture, and significant contributions made by Latino Americans to the City of Los Angeles and the nation. These events will shine a spotlight on the ongoing efforts of the Department of Public Works (LADPW) to create equitable solutions to the environmental and climate crises, support small and diverse business owners, and recognize the outstanding achievements of employees from all backgrounds. This year’s in-person events will focus on tree adoption and planting as the City ramps up efforts to bring tree equity to every neighborhood in Los Angeles.
